It is very important to keep your current signature on file with the elections office. Any time you sign a candidate or initiative petition or an absentee ballot, your signature on those documents is compared with the signature we have on file for you. If there is a significant difference in the two signatures, the petition or the absentee may not count.
If there has been a change in the way you sign your name, you may update the signature we have on file by completing a Florida Voter Registration Application Form and returning it to our office. To use our online application, click here
. Don’t forget to print the application, sign it, and return it to our office. You may also use a paper form available at public assistance offices, libraries, city halls, the Department of Motor Vehicles, or at our office.
